TIH Foundation for IoT & IoE (TIH-IoT) has been setup as a Section-8 company (not-for-profit) by IIT Bombay under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), being implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Technology Innovation Hub for IoT & IoE (TIH-IoT) at IIT Bombay is focusing on creating a self-sustaining innovation continuum by fostering translational research for technology & product development, building highly knowledgeable human resources, and a vibrant start-up ecosystem, in the technology vertical of the Internet of Things (IoT). The goal is to help India become a pioneer in technology-led economic growth and prepare the country to be the world leader in the technology arena.
To honour & provide support as well as to gain knowledge and guidance in research from the expertise in the domain of CPS, the Chair Professor program is introduced by TIH-IoT. TIH-IoT CHANAKYA Chair Professor Program for Industry Personnel is a distinguished position for industry professionals having rich industrial experience.
Industry professional, who have demonstrated excellence in research through technology development, patents, and publications in top-tier journals/conferences, in the broad domain of Cyber-Physical Systems are encouraged to apply for this program. These awards are meant for Industry Experts who are interested in playing a leadership role in their areas of research and working closely with the TIH-IoT. The applicant should be an Indian national. The position is open for in service, or retired industry experts (age below 75 years). The applicant should be an outstanding industry professional of repute with rich experience. The applicant should not be receiving any other fellowship from any other Government sources.
The term of TIH-IoT CHANAKYA Chair Professor Program for Industry Personnel will be initially for 2 years, which may be extended further for one year subject to outcome and performance.

The Statement of Purpose is a brief outline of the applicant’s work, and how s/he fits into the role. A pdf file with a maximum of 1-2 pages.
It is expected that the NOC from the organization to be submitted while submitting the application. If anybody has difficulty submitting the NOC during the application stage, they can write to us for requesting more time however it is mandatory to submit the NOC for the shortlisting process.
